Ashley Smith is a graduate from Brenau University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance. She received her Teaching Certification in Dance Education from the University of North Georgia. Mrs. Smith began her dance training at age eight with the Buford School of Ballet, home of the Georgia Christian Dance Theatre. While at Brenau, she performed two seasons with the Gainesville Ballet Company, under the direction of Diane Callahan. To further her training, Mrs. Smith has trained and worked with several different choreographers and artistic directors in both Atlanta and New York City. Mrs. Smith began her dance teaching career in 2004. In 2012 after several years working as a contract employee, Mrs. Smith became a full-time member of the Fine Arts Department at Buford High School. She is a member of the Nu Delta Alpha Dance Honor Society.
